When You Encounter a Maintenance Site, Don't Be Too Curious

Always avoid construction sites. Never approach them out of curiosity. 
On the evening of August 18th, a man fell into an elevator shaft under construction while attempting to satisfy his curiosity.

After receiving the alarm, the fire rescue team rushed to the scene and found that the elevator shaft was dark and there was no lighting. When they turned on the searchlight, they found a man lying in the elevator shaft with blood flowing from his knees, shoulders, and face.
Fire rescue personnel said that when they used a ladder to descend to the bottom of the elevator shaft, they found the injured person with obvious injuries on his head and chest.
The police officer who received the call said that after communicating with the person who called the police, he learned that the trapped person was returning home from getting off work at night. Out of curiosity about the elevator that was under repair, he passed by the elevator equipment and accidentally slipped and fell.

After reading the above reports, we are left with questions.
How did the injured person fall into the elevator shaft?
Were the landing doors open during elevator maintenance?
Were safety barriers and warning signs installed during the maintenance process?

Watching elevator maintenance poses a serious safety hazard. Elevator shafts are narrow, and high-rise shafts can reach depths of tens of meters. They contain sharp components such as guide rails and cables, and maintenance may involve working with live electrical equipment or mechanical movement. We also remind all construction companies to provide safety precautions on site and prohibit unauthorized personnel from approaching without permission to prevent accidents.
