Operating Instructions for Kone CPU561 Debugger

The core functions of the Kone CPU561 debugger (typically found in the Kone elevator car top or pit maintenance box) can be summarized in one sentence:

"A 5-second long press acts as the main switch; short presses select the function, then confirm; it automatically locks after 10 seconds of inactivity."

Below, the four most commonly used functions are explained in the order of "unlock → operate → exit," so you can use them immediately.

First, unlock the Kone CPU561 debugger (this must be done before any operation).

Press and hold the UNLOCK button for exactly 5 seconds (the panel LED will change from red to green and remain lit, and the buzzer will emit a long "beep" sound).

A steady green light means the device is unlocked; if no further buttons are pressed within 10 seconds, it will automatically relock (red light will turn on).

Routine 4 Kone CPU561 debugger Procedures

① Emergency Electric Operation (ERO) from Car Top/Machine Room
After unlocking, press ▲ (Up) or ▼ (Down) three times consecutively → on the third press, hold for 2 seconds. The elevator will move at 0.3 m/s in jog mode. Release to stop.
② Open/Close Door (Manual Door Operator Debugging)
After unlocking, press SELECT once (LED displays 1) → then press OPEN or CLOSE for 2 seconds. The door operator enters slow debugging mode; press SELECT again to exit.
③ Reset Fault (Minor Fault, Not Safety Chain Related)
After unlocking, simultaneously press UNLOCK + SELECT for 3 seconds → the LED flashes 3 times quickly, and the fault stack is cleared. Power off and then on again to confirm a successful reset.
④ Forced Door Closing/Torque Holding Test
After unlocking, press and hold CLOSE for 5 seconds → the door operator enters "torque holding" state, used to check door blade engagement and synchronization. Press any key to exit.

Kone CPU561 debugger Exit and Locking
Normal: If no buttons are pressed within 10 seconds, the system will automatically lock (red light illuminates).
Manual: Press and hold UNLOCK for 5 seconds until the red light stays on, then the system will lock immediately.
