The self-learning of the elevator shaft by the Monarch system is a self-adjustment and optimization process of the elevator control system to the elevator shaft environment, aiming to enable the elevator to better adapt to various elevator shaft environments and thus ensure the safe and stable operation of the elevator. Below are the detailed steps and precautions for the self-learning of the elevator shaft by the Monarch system:

I.Steps for elevator shaft Self-Learning

1.Preparation
Ensure the elevator is in a safe state, cut off the power supply, and check whether the control system and related components are intact.
Confirm that the safety devices are working properly, including deceleration switches, limit switches, extreme switches, and leveling sensors.
Check whether the CAN communication between the mainboard and the car roof board is normal.
Confirm that there is no scraping or abnormal noise during the elevator's operation in the elevator shaft.
2.Entering Self-Learning Mode
Find the elevator shaft self-learning button or related settings on the elevator's control panel.
Operate these buttons or settings to put the elevator into elevator shaft self-learning mode. Specific operations may include setting the operator parameter F1-11 to 3 (or varying based on elevator model and system version) or setting parameter F-7 to 1 on the control panel's keypad.
3.Scanning the elevator shaft
In elevator shaft self-learning mode, the server will automatically scan the elevator shaft and collect relevant information, such as the length, width, height of the elevator shaft, and the positions of various components within it.
4.Confirming and Saving elevator shaft Information
After scanning, verify and confirm the collected elevator shaft information.
If the information is accurate, save it. If there are errors, make corresponding adjustments until the information is accurate.
5.Test Run
Test the accuracy of the elevator shaft information and the elevator's operating status through actual operation.
If everything is normal, the elevator shaft self-learning process is complete.

II.Precautions

1.Ensure Safety
Before conducting elevator shaft self-learning, ensure the elevator is in a safe state, cut off the power supply, and check whether related components are intact.
During the self-learning process, closely monitor the elevator's operating status and the accuracy of the elevator shaft information.
2.Follow Steps
Strictly follow the operating steps for elevator shaft self-learning to avoid operational errors and omissions.
3.Regular Maintenance
Regularly maintain and inspect the elevator to promptly identify and address potential faults.
If abnormalities or faults occur during the self-learning process, stop the learning immediately and contact professionals for repairs.
4.Special Situation Handling
For elevators with only two floors and two stops, manually operate the elevator to the bottom floor and ensure that the lower deceleration switch is effective and the lower leveling sensor is completely detached from the magnetic separator before starting self-learning.
For older versions of the Monarch system (such as the NICE3000 system), it may be necessary to manually operate the elevator to the bottom floor at the control cabinet before starting self-learning.

III.Significance of elevator shaft Self-Learning

1.Improve Elevator Adaptability
Through elevator shaft self-learning, the elevator can automatically adjust operating parameters to adapt to changes in the elevator shaft environment (such as temperature, humidity, vibration, etc.), thereby improving the elevator's adaptability and operating efficiency.
2.Ensure Elevator Safety
elevator shaft self-learning can monitor and analyze the elevator shaft environment in real-time, promptly identify potential faults, and take corresponding measures for prevention and handling, thus avoiding the impact of faults on the elevator's safe operation.
3.Reduce Maintenance Costs
The elevator shaft information collected through self-learning can help maintenance personnel more accurately determine the fault location and cause, thereby reducing maintenance costs and time.
