An elevator encoder is a device installed in the elevator machine room or elevator control cabinet. It converts the elevator's operating status into electrical signals through specific technical principles (such as photoelectric conversion, magnetic induction, etc.), thereby achieving precise control of the elevator's position and speed.
The working principle of the elevator encoder is mainly based on the principle of electromagnetic induction or photoelectric conversion. For electromagnetic induction encoders, their induction coils will emit electromagnetic signals. When a magnetic object (such as the rotor of an elevator traction machine) approaches, an induced current will be generated, which will be decoded into a position signal. These position signals will be input into the elevator controller, and the operating status and position information of the elevator will be determined through calculation and comparison.
The photoelectric encoder converts the mechanical geometric displacement on the output shaft into pulses or digital quantities through photoelectric conversion. It usually consists of a grating disk and a photoelectric detection device. When the motor rotates, the grating disk rotates at the same speed as the motor, and the detection device composed of electronic components such as light-emitting diodes detects and outputs a number of pulse signals. By calculating the number of pulses output by the photoelectric encoder per second, the current motor speed and position can be reflected.
Hitachi elevator encoder TS5208N122 is a high-precision, high-reliability, long-life elevator accessory, widely used in elevator door control systems.
